Isaac Boamah Jr.
Isaac Boamah Jr is a multi-instrumentalist based out of Ohio. He plays bass, guitar, piano, drums, as well as several other instruments (over 20 total). He also is a producer, arranger and song-writer. He has played in arenas such as the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio and has played and worked with a multitude of artists: locally, nationally and internationally.
Some of his accolades include being named the Ohio All State Jazz Pianist in 2012, receiving the Louis Armstrong Jazz award and scholarship, having a signature bass with Cyril Guitars and various other recognitions for his work as a musician.
When asked about his passion for teaching, he responded, “Teaching others is one of the joys of my life. I love when people get the ‘AHA’ moment and everything begins to make sense.” He has been teaching music for over 8 years and started his YouTube channel isaac inspires 4 years ago.
One of his musical beliefs is that versatility is key. “It is important to get the basics and foundations down, but I believe inspiration comes from immersing yourself in different styles of music. It is then that you can find your ‘voice’.” He plays several different genres such as jazz, gospel, r&b, CCM, African styles, Latin styles, and more. This coupled with the ability to play mulitple instruments, has helped him acheive many goals in his life.
